In Dulac, Louisiana visiting cousins and having a shrimp boil. Simone had a lot of fun walking on the conveyor belts that transports seafood from the fishing boats to the scales. Apparently this is a great thrill for all of the young folk in the family. I must admit, it looked like fun!

Aunt Lee came to visit. We are all about dental hygiene.

Simone went to the doctor's office for her 18 month check up. He asked if she knew more than three words. I said, more like thirty. When I got home, I started to think about it and wondered if I over estimated her vocabulary. So I wrote down all the words she says on her own without prompting and lo and behold SEVENTY THREE WORDS! There are more that she says but these are the ones that she knows without my saying them first.

Here is the list.

Here is the first entry from our trip to New Orleans.
This was the first time that Simone has ever been swimming in a real pool. She did great.

Here are a few highlights from our trip out west to see Aunt Lee & Uncle Jim. Wonderful family to visit with so many beautiful things to see. I can't wait to visit Washington state again! And next trip will be all about volcanoes and caves, right Jim?

It has been a while since I've posted. Since the last post we have had visits from Tia, Grandma Marie, Nonna and Grandma Chetta. Simone has been a busy bee. And during all this wonderful commotion, she even took the time to learn a new skill!
